Kinship Cohorts

The first step to join our collective is to participate in a Kinship Cohort session.

Our next Kinship Cohorts are beginning January 2026.

Membership details

    • Cohorts have structured meeting times over their duration. Specific times will be named once you choose a cohort.

    • There will be opportunities to meet in-person or online.

    • There are ongoing opportunities to continue cohort work.

  • All participants contribute financially through a monthly sliding scale fee. No one attends for free. Everyone invests in the space in the way they can.

    Sliding Scale Tiers:

    • $10/month – Rooted in Community → For those navigating financial barriers shaped by systemic inequities but still committed to the work.

    • $25/month – Sustaining the Work → For those who can contribute a little more while balancing other financial responsibilities.

    • $45/month – Resourcing the Movement → For those with financial stability who can support at a sustaining level.

    • $65/month – Redistributing Access → For those with greater financial privilege who can help remove barriers for others.

    Payment Guidelines:

    • Participants self-select their tier based on guided descriptions.

    • Payments are due at the start of each month.

    • If finances feel tight, please don’t carry that alone. Reach out, and we will work with you—this is a shared space, and we hold each other with care.

    • Cohort Commitment: By enrolling, participants are committing to the full six-month cohort. If a participant chooses to withdraw before the cohort ends, they are still responsible for paying the full six months of fees, regardless of early departure.

    • All participants must volunteer monthly, selecting roles that support the group and Unity Project’s work.

    • Roles include event support, admin help, outreach, tech/media, and logistical support.

    • Volunteers sign up each month based on availability and capacity.

    • This is a community-led space—participants check in with each other if commitments are missed.

    • If someone does not meet their payment or volunteer commitment, they will:

      1. Receive a check-in from their peers (first step).

      2. Be given an opportunity to make up missed contributions (if applicable).

      3. Receive admin follow-up if non-participation continues.

      4. Lose access to the affinity group if commitments remain unmet.

Choose your cohort

  • Up & Rooted

    Restoration, shared healing and joy.

A space to be in community with others whose lives have been shaped by systemic disinvestment, generational trauma, and structural harm.

  • Groundwork

    Reflection, growth and repair.

A space where I can reflect on how I’ve benefited from–or participated in–systems that have caused harm. I want to be held in honest conversation, supported in my learnings, and accountable to showing up differently.

In a time of disconnection and division, Unity Project's Kinship Cohorts offer a grounded path toward liberation. love, and collective healing. These small-group journeys are designed for individuals ready to reflect, relate, and restore-within themselves and within community.

Kinship Cohorts bring people together through shared values, lived experiences, and a commitment to healing from the inside out. Each space is rooted in the wisdom of somatic healing, the power of honest connection, and the belief that joy is not just a feeling—but a strategy for transformation. Through peer facilitation, embodied practices, and community care, participants journey together toward repair-of self, of relationships, and of the systems that shape our lives.

Led by experienced facilitators from the Unity Project collective, Kinship Cohorts are an invitation to do the work that lasts. Whether you're seeking a space to be held, to grow, to breathe, or to rise.

We're holding space for you!
