Victoria Lipscomb is a community activator and musician dedicated to building healthy, equitable communities through collective practice, steady leadership, and the connective power of music.
Victoria Lipscomb’s leadership centers on addressing systemic harm, power dynamics, and patterns of exclusion through education, facilitation, and shared experience. With over two decades of experience—beginning in their teens—Victoria brings depth, steadiness, and long-range perspective to this work, creating spaces that support honesty, accountability, and collective wellbeing.
Experience & Foundations
Victoria’s work is grounded in lived experience, formal training, and long-term practice across education, healthcare, and community-based systems. Their background includes community health work and coordination, supporting individuals and families as they navigated access, care, and complex systems — experience that continues to shape how Victoria understands health, stability, and wellbeing as collective, not individual, conditions.
Victoria holds credentials in equity-centered and DEIB facilitation, peer and family support, and trauma-informed and bystander-based approaches. Rather than treating these as isolated frameworks, they integrate them into a systems-aware practice that centers dignity, power awareness, and relational repair. This grounding informs Unity Project’s approach to learning and convening, prioritizing sustainability and long-term community health over performative outcomes.
Leadership Across Community Spaces
Victoria’s leadership is further informed by their tenure in several community-facing roles. As Director of Community Anchor Academy (formerly CommunityWorks–Colorado Springs), they led adult education and workforce initiatives designed to counter generational instability through enriched learning and access. At Springs Recovery Connection, Victoria served as Manager of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Impact, supporting staff development, community partnerships, and equity-centered organizational practices.
Artistry in Leadership
A Colorado Springs native, Victoria is also a powerhouse musician whose artistry strengthens their leadership. Their musical background spans performance, conducting, curriculum development, and music technology, alongside leadership roles as Director of Music at First Baptist Church of Colorado Springs and co-founder and Artistic Director of Shine Nation, where they supported over 500 young people through arts-based programming that taught life skills. Music remains one of the core tools Victoria uses to support embodiment, connection, and collective movement—not the destination, but a powerful vehicle for transformation.
Beyond the Work
When Victoria is not working, they are deeply rooted in family life—laughing, resting, cooking, traveling, and staying close to the people who keep them grounded and honest. Family is not separate from the work; it is part of what sustains it and reminds Victoria why community, care, and collective wellbeing matter.
Victoria approaches this work as a lifelong practice, rooted and still growing.
