About Unity Project
Our Work
We believe music can help create a diverse, equitable, and healthy community. Grounded in song, our work extends into education, service, and collective healing. We offer rigorous, culturally-rooted training that confronts systemic injustice, honors historical truths, and supports personal and communal transformation.
Our Community
Our members undergo a rich and intense community-building process. We “create brave space together,” learn about our diverse backgrounds and histories, and discuss topics that are difficult for multi-racial groups to tackle.
Our Team
Rather than focusing on performance as a singing group, we wanted music to be used as a tool to foster connectedness, break down biases, and build understanding around cultural differences. Our founding directors train individuals and organizations in our community around racial equity.
